I have lived in Edinburgh for the best part of 50 years. An artist all my life.

Everything I do is based on drawing. 

Humans are creative. It's the main part of human intelligence: coming up with something new. Pretty well everybody draws, Drawing is big part of our intimate connection with life, nature, people. We can draw from observation, from feeling, from our limitless imagination. Sometimes in my art practice, in life, even,  I 'don't know what to do' If I remember to draw, everything is alright.​
